Veteran actress Barbara Allyne Bennet passed away at the age of 76, confirmed her representatives.
The actress died at the City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, California, on January 9, the representative of the actress shared, reports people.com.
Bennet was in the showbiz for more than five decades with projects like 1988 feature "Mac and Me", TV shows like "The West Wing", "The Office", "Brothers & Sisters", "Shameless", "Chicago Hope" and "NYPD Blue" to her credit.
Bennet worked as a production assistant on "The Rose", production coordinator on "Flying High" and a casting coordinator on "A Killer in the Family".
In addition to acting, the Cleveland, Ohio, native was actively involved in the Television Academy as a member throughout her career.
Plans for a memorial service will be announced soon.
