AD success lands Pranitha film with Junior NTR

The success of recently released Pawan Kalyan-starrer Telugu action-drama "Attarintiki Daaredhi" (AD) has made Pranitha an overnight star. She has bagged a plum role in Junior NTR's "Rabhasa", which also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Pranitha, who played one of the heroines in AD, has previously worked in two low-budget Telugu films "Baava" and "Em Pillo Em Pillado".

"We have already shot with Pranitha for few days. I quite liked her performance in AD, and therefore, roped her in. Even my producer was happy with her work in the film and had approached her for our film," Santosh Srinivas, director of "Rabhasa", told IANS.

"She plays a typical Andhraite girl and will mostly be seen sporting half-sari throughout the film," he added.

Interestingly, Samantha and Pranitha were part of "Attarintiki Daaredhi", and now they will be working together again.

"Their roles are different and I had cast Samantha much before even AD released. Therefore, I'm not trying to cash in on their success," said Santosh.
