Pankaj Advani's preparations for the forthcoming IBSF World snooker championship in his hometown Bangalore received a huge boost as the 29-year-old crafted the maximum break of 147 in a practice match against Chris Keogan at the Star Snooker Academy here.

Advani, who only last week won two World billiards titles (points and time formats) in Leeds, seamlessly made the switch from the three-ball game to snooker as was evident during his break of 147 Tuesday.

'Lord' Advani, as he has now been nicknamed by the academy where he was a resident during his time on snooker's professional tour, made his second ever maximum break, unbelievably fluking the final black.

His previous 147 was also in a practice session, at his home club in Bangalore, the Karnataka State Billiards Association, earlier this year.

Advani is scheduled to spend a few more days here before leaving for home at the end of this week for the World snooker Championship that will be held in Bangalore Nov 16-29.
