Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami on Saturday said that his AIADMK has tied-up with the BJP for the Lok Sabha polls, taking into account the security of the nation.
Campaigning in Vellore district for the April 18 Lok Sabha polls in the state, he said: "India is a big democratic nation. It needs a leadership that is strong. The person who is most suited is Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
"This is a mega alliance and ensuring the candidates' 0victory in the elections is the duty of the public," Palaniswami said.
He said the law and order in the state is good and that is why industrial investments from neighbouring states are coming to Tamil Nadu.
Palaniswami dismissed the opposition DMK alliance as "opportunistic".
