Bharti Airtel has increased maternity leave for its women employees from 12 weeks to 22 weeks, a company statement said here on Wednesday.
"With this new policy, our aim is to offer adequate work-life balance to women employees and ensure that they continue to contribute to the Airtel growth story," Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO (India and South Asia), Bharti Airtel, said.
"In case of adoption, if the child's age is less than two years, women employees can avail 12 weeks of leave and if age is above two years then six weeks. Male employees can avail one week of leave in both the cases," the statement added.
