Ali Fazal, Lauren to share screen space

Actors Ali Fazal and Lauren Gottlieb will soon be seen together in a short film titled "TriyaCharitra".

Lauren and Ali will be seen as a couple on a blind date meeting for the first time, and what they discover about each other in one night changes their lives forever.

Talking about it, Lauren said in a statement: "I have always been a big fan of short films. This script in particular gives me a great chance to shine as an actor. I'll be directed by Vinay Vats who told me he needed to cast his female lead first as the story revolves around her."

"My name instantly came to him and then he couldn't picture any other girl as this character. Luckily, I was just as excited about the role as he was and even more excited about the paring with Ali Fazal. This is my first time exploring the thriller genre and you can say I'm thrilled to shoot in the coming week."

The film, directed by Vinay Vats and produced by Purvi Lavingia Vats, will be shot soon on the outskirts of Mumbai.

Ali said: "I've been waiting to work with Vinay Vats and Lauren's got a lovely vibe. I am looking forward to this collaboration."
