All-party meet on eve of UP Assembly budget session

An all-party meeting was held on Monday here on the eve of the Uttar Pradesh assembly's budget session beginning on Tuesday where Speaker Hriday Narain Dixit sought support and cooperation of all political parties for smooth running of the House.

Dixit also stressed on the need of logical and factual discussions which could lead to solutions of problems. On this occasion, Chief Minister and Leader of the House, Yogi Adityanath said that working of the house should not be disrupted, and it instead used for solutions through effective and logical debate.

He also said that the state government was ready for discussions of all issues and provide all facts and information.

Adityanath also said that more and more lawmakers should be allowed to speak and put forward their views, adding that if all political parties agreed to cooperate for smooth running of the House, a good and positive message will go among the people.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said that House can be smoothly run with the cooperation of the treasury benches and the opposition.

Also present during the meeting were Suhel Dev Bharatiya Samaj Party leader and minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Lalji Verma, Congress leader Ajay Kumar 'Lallu' and Apna Dal leader Neel Ratan Singh Patel 'Neelu' who assured support of their respective parties in running of the House.
