Amit GT to design for Miss World pageant

After dressing up many style icons in India and abroad, designer Amit GT will now design for Miss India World for her finale appearance at the international pegeant.

The Miss World 2013 will be held on Sep 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center, Sentul and Nusa Dua, Indonesia. Navneet Dhillon will represent India.

Amit, known for his elaborate gowns and cocktail dresses, has not only showcased his collection at fashion events in Paris, Milan and Vienna, but has also dressed known foreign celebrities, including Eva Longoria, Whitney Cummings, Alicia Minshew, Kate Mansi, Kate Flannery, Holland Roden and Rosario Dawson.

However, designing for Miss India World is a huge responsibility for him.

"After dressing so many Hollywood and Bollywood stars, when I was asked to design for Miss India World for the Miss World pageant evening, I was thrilled because I know how much important this pageant is for India. It made careers of many Bollywood actresses today," the designer told IANS.
