Amrit Williams appointed Skybox Security's VP of Products

California-based global cybersecurity firm Skybox Security on Tuesday said it has appointed Amrit Williams as the company's Vice President of Products.

As the head of product management, he will be responsible for driving the company's product roadmap, focusing on the evolution of its core security management platform and applications addressing firewall, security policy, vulnerability and threat management, Skybox Security said in a statement.

Williams brings to the company more than 20 years of product innovation and thought leadership in the cybersecurity space including in companies such as McAfee, nCircle, BigFix, IBM and CloudPassage.

"He is a tremendous addition to our leadership team as we meet and anticipate needs in the market," said Gidi Cohen, CEO for Skybox Security.

Williams' appointment comes at a time when Skybox is poised to seize a tremendous market opportunity.
