Textile revivalist Aneeth Arora will open the 24th edition of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Spring-Summer 2015, starting Oct 8 here.
"The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is proud to announce Aneeth Arora as the opening designer for WIFW SS-15," Sunil Sethi, president, Fashion Design Council of India, said in a statement.
"She is known for her love for indigenous Indian crafts and weaves, which boldly find a place in her eclectic presentations. Our best wishes to Aneeth as we embark upon yet another exciting season," Sethi added.
Arora is not only "excited", but also feels "honoured".
"Being the first show of the fashion week. it gives us a chance to create an elaborate set up, and to do an interesting show case of our Spring summer 2015 for the viewers. I am grateful to FDCI for giving me this opportunity," she said.
The five-day fashion event will be held at Pragati Maidan.
