Critically-acclaimed Malayalam film "Angamaly Diaries", a story of love, friendship and crime set against the backdrop of the pork business, is all set to be remade in Telugu. It will feature Vishwak Sen in the lead.
"The story will be adapted to suit Telugu sensibilities. It will be about the gang culture in Hyderabad. It will be something new for the audience," Vishwak told IANS.
Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, "Angamaly Diaries", which released in March this year, featured 86 debutants. Its Telugu remake will also feature a bunch of newcomers.
A source from the production team, Vanmaye Creations, said: "We have already announced that we are on the lookout for nearly 80 fresh faces. Since it's a very rooted story, we need new faces that audiences can easily relate with."
The makers are yet to finalise the director and other members of the technical crew.
