The first photograph of the upcoming war drama "The Yellow Birds" has surfaced online, giving a first look at actress Jennifer Aniston as a devoted mother of a soldier, who is sent to fight in Iraq.
In the photograph, Aniston's character wears a loose grey top and a pair of bootcut jeans as she talks to someone on the street, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"The Yellow Birds" is based on the novel by Iraq war veteran Kevin Powers.
The movie follows two young soldiers (Tye Sheridan and Alden Ehrenreich) who are sent to fight in the Gulf War and become best friends. The two then form an unbreakable bond and vow to keep each other safe.
However, they find the promise is hard to keep as they navigate a war where casual atrocity is a daily occurrence.
Jack Huston stars as Sterling, an older officer who takes the two young men under his wing.
Earlier on Friday, the film added Toni Collette and Jason Patric to its cast.
Collette will play the mother of another soldier who returns from war with a secret that has forever changed him. As for Patric, he will portray Anderson.
Courtney Solomon and Mark Canton will finance and produce the movie under their Cinelou Films banner.
Directed by Alexandre Moors, the movie is expected to release in North America in 2016.
