Another Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader, former legislator Ravindra Nath Tripathi, left the party on Thursday while levelling serious allegations on party chief Mayawati.

Announcing his resignation, the leader from Poorvanchal, said after the death of party founder Kanshi Ram, Mayawati had digressed from th path of Dalit ideology and had been blinded by greed.

The former legislator from Barsathi, Tripathi said Mayawati had turned the party into a sort of 'Chit Fund Company' where in people with moneybags were ruling the roost.

Refusing to open up on his future course of action, he said he will soon sit down with his supporters and decide on whether to join any other party or not. He also claimed that very soon, many party leaders will dump the BSP and exit.

He is the third leader in less that a fortnight to have left the BSP, levelling almost similar charges against Mayawati. Senior party leader Swami Prasad Maurya left the BSP last month and another tall leader R.K. Chowdhary quit recently.
