It was yet another sunny and hot day in the capital Thursday as the maximum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 35.6 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast similar weather Friday.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rains will continue to elude the capital Friday as well as the skies are expected to remain sunny.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 35 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Thursday's minimum temperature was 25.4 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year. The maximum humidity was recorded at 69 percent.
Wednesday's minimum temperature settled at 25.8 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season while the maximum was 35.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
Since the arrival of the monsoon, the city has recorded 781.4 mm of rainfall.
