Former defence minister A.K.Antony is currently convalescing at his residence here after prostate surgery.
The surgery was held here at a private hospital a few days back.
Speaking to IANS over telephone, Antony said this is the third surgery he had undergone in a year's time.
"I am taking rest and I have been advised not to entertain visitors as the chance of infection could be there. As things stand now, I hope things are fine," said Antony, who holds the record of being the longest serving defence minister of the country - holding office from 2006 till 2014 in the two UPA governments.
He said he will be here for a while.
