K.P. Aravind (TVS Racing) emerged Overall winner in the MRF two-wheeler Rally of Coimbatore, the second round of the Indian National Rally Championship, here on Sunday while teammate R. Nataraj finished second.
Aravind and Nataraj competed in Class 1 (Group A, single class irrespective of engine capacity), while V.S. Naresh was the winner in Class 4 (Group B, 166 to 260cc).
It was the second Overall title for Aravind from Mangaluru following his win in the first round of the championship in Nashik.
The event saw a handsome 38 entries taking part in various categories and 32 competitors finished the Rally while six riders dropped out due to mechanical failures.

Class 1: Group A (single class irrespective of engine capacity): 1. K.P. Aravind (TVS Racing, 00:44:31 minutes penalty); 2. R. Nataraj (TVS Racing, 00:44:47).
Class 2: Group B, M1 (up to 130cc): 1: Shivakumar (00:56:18); 2. Rohit (00:58:09); 3. Zaidan Azeem (00:59:19).
Class 3: Group B, M2 (131 to 165cc): 1. Suhail Ahmed (00:48:21); 2. V. Venu Ramesh Kumar (00:51:20); 3. N.S. Kuttappa (00:52:00).
Class 4: Group B, M3 & M4 (166 to 260cc): 1. V.S. Naresh (00:47:06); 2. Abdul Wahid (TVS Racing, 00:47:34); 3. Yuva Kumar (00:50:02).
Class 5: Group B, M5 (261 to 500cc): 1. S.D. Vishwas (00:52:49); 2. Yashraj Rathod (00:58:01); 3. Samarth (00:58:54).
Class 6: Group B (Scooters, up to 160cc): 1. Syed Asif Ali (TVS Racing, 00:54:52); 2. Shamim Khan (00:55:24); 3. V. Suresh (01:05:44 hours).
Class 7: Bullet Class: 1. Sanjay Kumar (00:54:59); 2. Aakash Aithal (00:58:30); 3. K. Raveendran (01:04:33).
