Armani styles 'The Counselor' cast

The cast of director Ridley Scotts' thriller "The Counselor" will be seen in a stylish range designed by Emporio Armani.

Michael Fassbender, who plays the protagonist, a lawyer in the film, will wear a range of Emporio Armani suits in navy, cream and light gray as well as assorted Armani jeans pieces when he's off duty.

Essaying Fassbender's fiancee Laura, Penelope Cruz will appear in a scarlet knee length dress with a matching cardigan and a white trenchcoat by the designer.

"I have known Giorgio Armani for many years...this is the first time he designed the looks for my character," Cruz said in a statement.

The designer refers to Cruz as "eternally beautiful and brilliant," and Fassbender "an Armani man on-screen and off".

"As a cinema devotee, I'm always honored to play a small part in the magic of filmmaking," Armani said.

Releasing Oct 25, the film revolves around the terrible consequences for an American lawyer who, tempted by the lure of quick money, gets involved in a drug deal.

"The Counselor" also stars Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt and Cameron Diaz.
