Armed robbers have killed a 27-year-old Indian in western Ghana, the police said here Friday. Two people have been arrested.
The victim, R.M. Dhalan was killed at Anyinabreim near Techiman, in the Brong-Ahafo region.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah said two men - Aturuge Apele and Abuga Anamo - have been arrested.
Tawiah said on May 9, one Sudahkur, 25, an Indian and a colleague of the deceased at the Mary-Ghan Limited company reported to the Techiman Police that they had been attacked by two armed robbers at their workplace at Anyinabreim with machetes and guns and robbed of an unspecified amount of money.
Dhalan, who was seriously injured, was rushed to the Techiman Holy Family Hospital but was referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, where he died.
Meanwhile, the general public has been asked to be security conscious and report any suspicious character of any individual or group in their communities to the police to help minimize crime.
