Indian Army chief General Dalbir Singh on Wednesday paid his last respects to a soldier killed in an ambush by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.
The ambush by terrorists on a patrolling column of the Rashtriya Rifles led to a gun battle in Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir, in which a soldier and a 'district commander' of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were killed.
The body of the soldier, Sepoy Dharma Ram, was brought to Delhi before being taken to his native village in Rajasthan.
The body was kept in the army's base hospital in the national capital, where General Dalbir Singh laid a wreath.
