At least one officer was killed as a helicopter of Pakistan army crashed in Haripur district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Monday evening, the military said.
A statement from the Inter Services Public Relations said that the incident took place when an Mi-17 helicopter of the Pakistan Army Aviation crashed in Tarbela area of Haripur, killing Lt. Col. Tauqeer.
The Russian-made Mi-17 encountered the accident when it was on its routine training mission.
The cause of the accident was not known yet, but some reports said it was apparently due to a technical malfunction.
