Army officer, soldier injured by landmines

An Army officer and a soldier were injured on Sunday in two separate landmine explosions near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district.

An Army spokesman said a Lt Colonel and a Havaldar were injured in Lam area in two separate incidents when they stepped on landmines.

"Both were on routine patrol when the accidents happened," he said. "They have been shifted to a hospital and doctors have said both are out of danger."
