Singer Arpita Chakraborty has crooned a song for the Zee TV show "Tashan-e-Ishq".

This is not the first time that she has sung for a TV show. Arpita had earlier lent her voice to numbers for shows like "Ek Veer Ki Ardaas... Veera" and "Ye Hai Mohabbatein".

"I'm glad that my voice has reached the hearts of all television lovers. It feels great when you are appreciated for your songs. 'Tashan-e-ishq' is a very sweet and a wonderful song which was orignally sung by Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

"Singing this song in my own style was itself a great feeling," Arpita said in a statement.

Asmita Sood tackles her fear of fire

TV actress Asmita Sood, who plays the lead role in "Phir Bhi Naa Maane... Badtameez Dil" has a fear of fire (pyrophobia), but braved it during a sequence which was being shot for the show.

For a particular scene, the actress was required to be shown burning her diary which is full of her unspoken emotions from over the years. When Abeer (portrayed by Pearl V Puri) lays his hands on it, Meher (Asmita) is left with no option but to burn and ruin it.

"I have had pyrophobia since childhood. When I was told about this scene, I was a little petrified initially, but then as they say, 'The show must go on', so I just went ahead and gave it my best shot.

"At the end of it, I knew it was worth it because everyone really raved about the way the scene turned out," Asmita said in a statement.

"Phir Bhi Naa Maane... Badtameez Dil" is an Indian musical-romantic TV series, which airs on Star Plus.

Karan Patel injured on sets of 'Ye Hai Mohabbatein'

Actor Karan Patel, seen as Raman Bhalla in TV show "Ye Hai Mohabbatein", injured himself while shooting a sequence on the sets of the show.

Even after the actor was offered a body double by the production house Balaji Telefilms, Karan was adamant to shoot the fight sequence for the Star Plus show himself.

During the scene, Karan had to get beaten up by goons with tubelights and bamboo sticks, and ended up bleeding in reality.

He is now on bed rest for a few days.
