Inaccessible and "arrogant ministers" were responsible for the Congress party's rout in the Lok Sabha election, Congress Working Committee (CWC) member Anil Shastri said Sunday.
"Inaccessible and arrogant ministers were also responsible for the party's ignominious defeat. This was pointed out by workers at sessions of the All India Congress Committee (AICC)," Shastri, son of late prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and a special invitee to the CWC said on Twitter.
"Turncoats should not be given tickets and positions of power or importance. This demoralises loyal workers and leaders in the party," he said.
He also said the party needed to "learn its lesson".
