With forward Lukas Podolski leaving Arsenal after not being able to get game time under manager Arsene Wenger, his agent has confirmed the German will sign up with Turkish football club Galatasaray this summer.
The 30-year-old winger failed to start a single English Premier League (EPL) game for the Gunners last season, making just seven appearances off the bench before struggling on loan for the second half of the season with Inter Milan in Serie A, Xinhua reported on Friday.
Podolski, who previously starred for Bayern Munich and Cologne, has attracted interest from Galatasaray, with German paper Bild claiming the Turkish club is willing to pay around four million euros.
"We had good talks with Wenger. He wanted to keep Lukas at Arsenal but could not guarantee him a starting position. That's why we agreed to make a transfer," his agent Nassim Touihri said.
Podolski scored one goal in his 18 games across all competitions for Inter after joining them in early January.
