The appointments committee of the cabinet (ACC) has approved cancellation of the order of appointment of Mayaram, a 1978 batch IAS officer, as secretary, tourism ministry, a statement by the ministry of personnel and pensions said here.

Mayaram was replaced by Rajiv Mehrishi as the finance secretary Oct 15, and has not yet taken charge in the tourism ministry.

The ACC also directed that Ratan P.
