She will play Naina who is a welfare officer.
"I am very happy to be a part of the show and I am loving every bit of playing Naina. The twist that my entry gets in the show is my favourite part and I am excited about it," Ashmita said in a statement.
"Papa By Chance" centres around Yuvaan, a carefree man who struggles to cope with the drastic change in his life after he is forced to take care of three orphans whose parents died after being involved in an accident with his car.
