The body of a 19-year-old woman from Assam was found in a pool of blood near a multi-storeyed residential building on Thursday, police said.
Kajol's body was found near the building in east Delhi's Anand Vihar area. She was working as a maid at the house of a businessman for the last six months.
Police said a man residing on the ground floor saw the body around 6.45 a.m. and raised an alarm.
"Whether the woman was killed, or she committed suicide or fell from the building accidentally is still a mystery. Her post-mortem report only will help the investigation. We are still waiting the arrival of the victim's family members before sending the body for autopsy," a police officer said.
Police suspect that she fell, or was pushed or thrown, or jumped from the fourth floor of the building where she was employed in the flat of businessman Shivam Sachdeva.
"Sachdeva and his family members are the prime suspects. We are questioning them and also quizzing the neighbours," the officer said.
Kajol's family was shocked to know about her death and could not give any particular reason why she might commit suicide, the officer said.
"We are scrutinising the CCTV footage captured by the cameras installed in the building," the officer said.
