The wait is finally over. After receiving a phenomenal response for the ZenPad series, ASUS on Monday announced the launch of a new variant of ZenPad C 7.0 for Indian customers.

ASUS -- a Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and mobile electronics company -- has expanded its ZenPad Series with C 7.0 model that is powered by MediaTek Quad-core processor. The earlier version had the Intel Atom x3-C3230 processor.

With respect to the looks, there is no difference between the two versions.

Display: Similar to its predecessor, the new ZenPad C 7.0 comes with 17.7 cm (7-inch) 1024 x 600 Super Bright IPS panel that has a pixel density of 170 pixel per inch (ppi).

With 71 percent screen to body ratio, the tablet offers upto 170 degree viewing angle. It comes with AGC Glass with 20nm anti-finger coating, 10 finger multi-touch and Zen Motion support touch gesture.

The screen to body ratio is the surface the screen represents when compared to the whole device.

Processor: The main difference that the new ZenPad C 7.0 has is the rocessor. The MediaTek MT8382V/W Quad-core processor with ARM Cortex-A7 MP Core CPU operating at 1.3Ghz makes the new device support 3D graphics.

The new variant is loaded with 5-megapixel camera having features like VCM Auto-Focus, large aperture of f/2.0.

It records high-definition videos in 720p at 30 frames per second. The low light mode, zero shuttle lag enables the tablet to take brighter images without any time delay.

It is equipped with features like beautification and panorama modes, PixelMaster Camera and has a 0.3-megapixel secondary camera.

The tablet boasts a 3450mAh Li-polymer battery that runs for 8.5 hours after a full charge.

The tablet has 1 GB RAM, 8 GB built in storage, 64 GB micro SD card support. Apart from 5 GB ASUS Web Storage space for life with an additional 11 GB for the 1st year, the tablet has 100 GB of Google Drive space for two years.

Powered by Android OS Lollipop, the ZenPad includes the ASUS ZenUI 2.0 with over 1,000 software enhancements and Zen Motion support touch gesture.

With its two variants -- Obsidian Black and Pearl White, the device is available exclusively on Snapdeal from Monday at Rs.7,999.
