Atletico Madrid one of Europe's best teams: Ancelotti

Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti has said that Atletico Madrid are one of Europe's best teams and stressed that games against the Spanish football club are important whatever the circumstances.

In a press conference held on Monday, the eve of Bayern's final Champions League group stage game against Atletico at the Allianz Arena, Ancelotti said that he will introduce rotation among his players to get the best out of fresh starters.

Atletico are is already guaranteed a place in the knockout stages of the Champions League after leading the group with 15 points, ahead of Bayern Munich in second place with nine points so far.

But the Italian coach emphasised his team's motivation to win the game, and apologised for not being able to lead his men to the next round as group winners.

Bayern Munich will miss the efforts of Jerome Boateng in defence, as well as captain Philipp Lahm on the left wing.

Ancelotti also hinted at the possible return of Chilean star Arturo Vidal to Bayern's midfield after recovering from injury.
