Atletico Madrid on Tuesday announced the renewal of the contract of Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey for three more years, keeping him committed to the capital football club until the 2021-22 season.
According to the club's official website, Partey was excited about the renewal saying: "I'm very happy. I want to continue growing in Atleti."
The 23-year-old, who recently helped his national team to reach the semi-finals of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, made his debut with Atletico's first team against Espanyol on November 28, 2015, reports Efe.
In total, Partey has played 31 games with Atletico, in which he has scored three goals and made three assists.
