Atletico Madrid returned on Monday to training in a camp in Los Segovia, with a morning session and physical exercise, in the first of three sessions planned by the capital football club's coaching staff.
The footballers will exercise in the gym and conclude with a workout in the field, reports Efe.
The evening session, due to inspected by chief coach Diego Simeone, will be joined by Croatian full-back Sime Vrsaljko and Uruguayan striker Nicolas Schiappacasse, who joined the camp on Sunday night after landing this weekend in Madrid.
Absent from the morning session was goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya, who follows a specific training plan for his sore knee, as well as Borja Cane, who is recovering from a broken left arm, in addition to other internationals who will be joining the team in the next few days.
