An attempt to murder case was on Tuesday slapped against ruling Peoples Democratic Party legislator Qamar Hussain in Rajouri district of Jammu region, police said.
An FIR in the case was filed after Ayaz Ahmad, resident of Dassal village, complained that the lawmaker and three of his personal security officers (PSOs) threatened and attacked him.
According to the complaint, the legislator on Monday threatened Ayaz Ahmad that he would get him killed by his armed guards.
Ayaz Ahmad said Hussain's security officers attacked him on Monday.
The legislator, however, has denied the allegations, saying it was part of a conspiracy to malign him.
