Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi underwent eye operation here on Saturday, said U Win Htein, member of the central executive committee of the National League for Democracy.
"Her eye operation is successful but she has to take rest for an operation on another eye on April 16," Xinhua quoted U Win Htein as saying.
Aung San Suu Kyi, who is also minister of foreign affairs and minister of the president's office, underwent the eye operation in Nay Pyi Taw.
