India were beaten by 106 runs by hosts Australia in their first warm-up match for the World Cup here Sunday.
Chasing a huge target of 372 runs, India folded for 265 uns in 45.1 overs. Middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane top scored with a fluent 66 for the defending World Cup champions.
Opener Shikhar Dhawan (59) and middle-order batter Ambati Rayadu (53) were also among runs but it wasn't enough to help India's cause.
Earlier, twin centuries from opener David Warner (104) and No.4 batsman Glenn Maxwell (122) helped Australia hammer India to post a huge total of 371 in 48.2 overs.
