At least five dozen CNG auto-rickshaws were destroyed in a major fire that broke out in a showroom here on Sohna Road on Friday, an official said.
Ten fire tenders battled the leaping flames.
"It was a huge fire. It probably broke out due to short-circuit. It took nearly three hours to douse the fire," Chief Fire Officer I.S. Kashyap told IANS.
He said around four dozen three-wheelers were saved by the fire-fighters.
The showroom, a workshop, sheds and an office, all spread in around 1,000 square meters, were gutted.
The showroom owner claimed that nearly 125 CNG-run auto-rickshaws were in the showroom and workshop when the incident occurred.
