A 15-member business delegation from Bahrain India Society (BIS) will participate in the 13th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to be held January 7- 9 in Gujarat, a media report said Wednesday.
Founded in December 2007, BIS has played an active role in promoting ties between India and Bahrain in the economic, cultural, sports and scientific fields.
"The delegation would take the message of "business-friendly Bahrain to Indian investors and also explore investment opportunities in India for Bahrain-based businessmen," Gulf Daily New quoted BIS chairman Mohammed Dadabhai as saying.
The members of the delegation are also expected to attend the Vibrant Gujarat 2015 business meeting, which is a showcase for the rapidly developing state of Gujarat.
A special session on employment in Gulf countries will take place January 9.
The annual gathering coincides with the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's return to India from South Africa in 1915.
