The Badminton Association of India (BAI), at its annual general meeting here on Sunday, unanimously resolved to expel honorary General Secretary Vijay Sinha from the national body.
Sinha has been further restrained from contesting any election or hold any post or office related to sport in the country, according to BAI.
Sinha have been probed by an independent judicial committee and was found guilty of serious charges of sexual harassment, misappropriation, nepotism, embezzlement and fraud.
An FIR has been lodged with Lucknow police based on the advice of the judicial committees. Sinha is currently said to be absconding.
After expelling Sinha, the AGM, by unanimous vote, elected Anup Narang as the honorary General Secretary for the remaining term.
