Filmmaker Sukumar Bandreddi has signed up actor Sumanth Ashwin for his upcoming yet-untitled maiden Telugu production venture, which will be helmed by his associate Verma Reddy.
Sumanth, who is basking in the success of Telugu romantic-drama "Anthaku Mundhu Aa Tharavatha" (AMAT), is soon expected to start shooting for the film.
"I liked Sumanth's performance in 'AMAT'. I thought he would be apt for the role in this film. Moreover, I'm keen to work with a young and energetic team, preferably newcomers. I'm busy working on '1: Nenokkadine', and as soon as I complete it, I shall resume this project," Bandreddi told IANS.
Bandreddi is currently busy wrapping up his Telugu directorial project "1: Nenokkadine", starring Mahesh Babu.
The filmmaker, who recently floated a production house, is keen to make films with his associates.
Meanwhile, Sumanth has signed for another untitled Telugu film with filmmaker Maruthi. The project is expected to kick start soon.
