Bangalore will host the 2014 IBSF World Snooker Championships for men, women and masters, possibly in November.
The decision was taken at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) here Thursday when Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) president Captain Mohan formally placed a bid to host the tournament.
"Having conducted the IBSF Championship twice in India, most of you here having experienced it, should I say more? We will be too pleased to hold it in Bangalore," Mohan informed the AGM which then approved the proposal.
The exact dates of the championship will be finalised at the BSFI board meeting in Bangalore Dec 14.
