Defending champions Bengaluru FC crashed out of the Federation Cup 3-5 on aggregate against Aizawl FC after losing 2-3 in the second leg quarter-final match here on Tuesday.

The first leg had ended 2-1 in favour of Aizawl FC.

A brace from Joel Sunday and a goal from David Lalrinmuana saw the away side score three away goals at the Kanteerava Stadium.

Bengaluru responded through C.K Vineeth goal and a Sunil Chhetri penalty in the 74th minute. But it proved too little too late.
