The Bihar cabinet on Wednesday stayed 36 decisions taken by the government of former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi last month, officials said here.
"All the 36 cabinet decisions taken by Manjhi in three cabinet meetings last month were rolled back by the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar," an official said.
Nitish Kumar, who assumed charge last month amid high drama, has told the media that he would review all decisions of the erstwhile cabinet without any "prejudice or ill-will".
Days before quiting as chief minister, Manjhi had included powerful Dalit caste Paswan into the Mahadalit category, announced reservation for Dalits in government contract for road construction worth Rs.50 lakh and reservation for poor among the upper castes in government jobs.
