The RJD, Congress and CPI-ML legislators protested in the Bihar Assembly on Tuesday against the police action on Dalits during demonstrations in the state the previous day.
Soon after the last day of the budget session began, the opposition members trooped near the Speaker's podium carrying placards, posters and shouting slogans against the Centre and the Bihar government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Dalits protested across the country on Monday against the dilution of the SC and ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.
Normal life in Bihar was hit following the protests, disrupting rail and road traffic and forcing shutdown of markets and educational institutions.
