BJP President Amit Shah on Wednesday expressed deep concern over the flood situation in various states, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and directed party MPs, MLAs and other elected representatives to provide assistance to the affected.
"Amit Shah talked to the Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Assam and state party chiefs of Bihar, West Bengal and Uttarakhand and expressed concern over the flood situation in these states," a party statement said.
He called upon the party leaders and workers to assist in the relief work so that the affected people could get immediate relief.
He expressed grief over the deaths due to the natural calamity.
