BJP corporator shot dead in Agra
A BJP corporator was shot dead while having liquor here, police said Saturday.
Mahesh Jain, 46, was also the chief whip of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the civic body.
Mahesh Jain and Pramod Jain were drinking liquor with two other people in Idgah colony when the incident took place on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, a police officer said.
Police have arrested Pramod Jain from whose revolver the bullet was fired, he said, adding that a probe is on.
An FIR was registered against Pramod Jain and two other people, the officer added.
