New Delhi, April 25 (IANS) The Rajya Sabha was Thursday adjourned till 12 noon as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) again pressed for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's resignation and the Left parties raised the issue of the chit fund scam in West Bengal.
The ruckus started as soon as question hour began. The BJP noisily demanded Manmohan Singh's resignation over former telecom minister A. Raja's claim that the prime minister was in the know of all the decisions that he took on 2G spectrum allocation.
And the Left parties raised the issue of West Bengal-based Saradha Group, which is accused of duping depositors.
As the din continued, chairman Hamid Ansari adjourned the upper house till 12 noon.
Similar scenes had played out in the upper house Wednesday as well. The house was first adjourned till noon, then till 2 p.m., and finally for the day.
