BJP's Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy on Friday authenticated the documents he quoted from while participating in a debate on the AgustaWestland chopper deal.
Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien had asked Swamy to authenticate the documents by 6 p.m. on Friday to avoid expunging of his comments.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi informed the upper house: "Complying with the chair's directions, he (Swamy) has already authenticated all the papers."
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, who raised the issue with Swamy during the debate on Wednesday, later made the demand for authentication.
