The AAP on Thursday accused the BJP government of shielding the Ryan International School management in the murder of a seven-year-old boy inside the school premises in Gurugram.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also said that the owner of the Ryan International Schools, Grace Pinto, was named the Director of an organisation under the Ministry of Textiles by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at Centre.

AAP's national spokesperson Ashutosh said that even as parents across the country were pained by the gruesome murder of a young boy at Ryan School in Gurugram, the school's owners were being protected by the BJP government.

"Not only is Grace Pinto a member of the BJP, she has also reportedly organised a membership drive for teachers and children in her schools," Ashutosh said.

"With the BJP's blessings, she was also appointed as a Director at The Cotton Corporation of India on February 2, 2017."

Seven-year-old Pradhuman Thakur was found murdered on September 8 at Ryan International School in Bhondsi area on the Sohna Road in Haryana's Gurugram district.

The murder of the boy has caused widespread outrage across the country.

Ashutosh said that the school was directly at fault for sheer negligence in the matter, but the management of the school had found support from the BJP governments in Haryana and at the Centre.

"The BJP provides patronage to such people on a regular basis and rewards them by appointing them to top positions in government-run corporations. Now it is also protecting Pinto after the murder of a child in one of her schools," the AAP leader said.
