BJP president Amit Shah Friday said that the party will work in tandem with the Narendra Modi government to take the country forward.
After hoisting the tricolour on Independence Day at the BJP headquarter here, Shah said that he was delighted that Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi hoisted the flag from the Red Fort.
"It's an auspicious day for BJP as a BJP worker (Narendra Modi) hoisted tricolour from the ramparts of the Red Fort," Shah said.
"Atal Bihari Vajpayee also hoisted the flag as a BJP worker. But the difference between him and Narendra bhai is that now BJP's government has majority."
