The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its rival, the ruling Awami League (AL), on Thursday filed cases with the police over an attack on Khaleda Zia's motorcade in Dhaka on Wednesday, Police said.
The BNP chairperson's advisor Abdul Quaiyum filed a case on Thursday accusing 40 to 50 unidentified people, said Ramna police station in-charge Mashiur Rahman.
AL student front Bangladesh Chhatra League leader Babu Hasan filed another case with Ramna police accusing unidentified persons, bdnews24.com reported.
Both the cases bring charges of "attack and vandalism in an attempt to murder", said Rahman.
