India's doubles specialist Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi made it to the semi-finals of the ATP APIA International Sydney tennis tournament while Leander Paes and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek suffered a first round exit here Wednesday.
The Indo-Pak pair, seeded third, overcame a tough fight from Trat Huey of Philippines and Briton Dominic Inglot before winning 6-7(3) 7-6(5) 10-3 in the quarter-finals.
Bopanna and Qureshi will now be up against Lukas Rosol and Joao Sousa, who shocked the top seeded American pair of Mike and Bob Bryan 3-6 6-3 14-12 in their quarter-final.
Paes and his Czech partner Stepanek, who were seeded second, went down 4-6, 4-6 in 65 minutes to the French pair of Julien Benneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.
